DPF stands for Diesel Particulate Filter. This is a device that is used for emission control in diesel vehicles as mandated by the European union and other countries where the vehicles are manufactured. After a period of time, DPF causes engine performance problems by entering into a safe mode. In Kenya, we don’t have similar emissions regulations and one of the ways we solve the problem is by deleting the DPF from the car’s computer and associated systems.
